Timothy Jones spent his first 14 years in Alaska, where he developed a deep appreciation for the stark beauty of the Alaskan landscape.
The family moved to Arkansas, where he earned bachelor's and master's degrees in fine art. He now lives in the Arkansas Ozarks with his wife and two children, three dogs, a huge Maine Coon cat, a ferret and assorted wild animal visitors.
Since 2004, after a number of years as a designer and illustrator, Tim has been building a portfolio of portrait, still life and landscape painting within a range of realistic representational styles, traditional and contemporary. His art has received local, regional and national recognition in shows and competitions such as those of the Art Renewal Center and Oil Painters of America. he is a member of the Artists of Northwest Arkansas and Oil Painters of America.
